Seamless Tracking of Cake Progress
One of the handiest sections on this form is the boxes at the bottom for checking off how far along in the production process your cake orders are. There’s a box for checking off whether the cake is baked, crumb coated, iced, or decorated, so this way you can quickly glance at a stack of cake orders and see how far along you are. No more sticking your head into the fridge to search for each order! This simple section becomes even more important if you have employees because your team can cross off what is done, and everyone can easily keep track of what’s next on the to-do list. It’s a simple but effective way to quickly glance at all of your orders and see where you are in production throughout the week!
A Sign-Off Space
Another incredibly important part of any cake order form is the pickup signature section. Not only does it allow you to have a written record of your orders being picked up, but it also protects your business. Under the signature space, I have included a pick-up statement that you can adjust for your own business that has the client acknowledge two important points:
A) That you have produced the order to the client’s satisfaction (helping you eliminate awkward phone calls later about orders missing a detail or element – such as a “Happy Birthday!” message)
B) That the client is taking full responsibility for safely transporting the cake and that your business is not held liable for damage to orders that occur after pickup. (Having your client acknowledge their responsibility for transport is VERY IMPORTANT!
